WThis is a home-style take on a cocktail found on the seasonal cocktail list. It's a party-sized premix that is packed full of essence of the holiday season, making it ideal for hosting a holiday party. Save the extra citrus syrup you can use for morning drinks, puddings, or to mix additional servings of bikinis.

Makes enough for 10 guests
To make the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Premix (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Method
For the Citrus Syrup: Combine the listed items inside a pan, bring to a simmer, mixing to dissolve. After that, take off the heat and let it to cool completely. Pour into a sterilised bottle, cap it keeping it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to a month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Pour every liquid ingredients in a large bottle, let it rest for one hour, then pass it through preferably using cheesecloth, making it completely strained.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of the batch mix into a cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir gently for one minute to cool it down. Filter into a chilled martini glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the drink.
